Is it a Citycom or a GTS? What's the mileage?PD110961 wrote:2010 sym300 maxi scoot at £1100 !
They're remarkable value for money but you need to have a big cock to ride one. The problem with the SYM Maxi brand, in the UK, is their reputation. Taiwan is part of China, a country with a poor reputation because of the cheap products they sell. Most people aren't aware that Sym Motors used to assemble Honda motorcycles way back in 1962. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SYM_Motors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There's a 2010 400cc SUZUKI AN BURGMAN with 1,204 miles currently on Biketrader for £3,699.PD110961 wrote:are they any good? compared to burgman 400?
IF it is a Citycom, I believe they're two different classes of Scoot. The Citycom is a sit on and the Burgman is a sit in.
The Citycom has a 10 litre fuel tank - after 120+ miles you'll be looking for a petrol station - not so great for touring.
The Citycom 300 has 16" wheels and is quite a bit taller (physically) than a burgman 400 - and it's not so porky/fat/squat/wide - so it's great for filtering.
The SYM 300 (264cc) engine has an excellent reputation for reliability, ease of servicing and will easily do 80+mpg and can show you 90mph on the speedo.
The oil (1.2ltrs) needs changing every 3,000km, but there's no oil filter to buy, just a 'thimble' to clean.
So, the question is, is the Burgman worth the extra £2,599?
