But they're the biggest chain around. How can this be? Unless it is a cash flow issue caused by the banks.

Now that is bad, but Im not surprised as in recent times their prices have soared and quaility plummeted.

I heard that was likely last year, they did well to keep going.

Top of the range is too expensive and their budget stuff fell apart.

Wow. Kinda surprised as their prices seemed competitive to other stores, e.g.: Infinity or Metropolis for same items.
But yes their own-brand felt expensive compared to proper premium stuff like Rukka. I'm still using their old style Master V jacket, and it's really good stuff, but no way would i pay £700 for the new version.

The staff weren't always the best, and they seemed over-staffed mostly.

Still, I wonder if i can vulture some bargains though, wouldn't mind bonded goretex trousers and a new helmet...

I won't miss them, the shop in Maidstone has always been lacking customer care.

Well shouldn't be surprised as I haven't bought any stuff from them for ages.
Some of their stuff worked very well, but some was just useless, and it was hard to spot the duff stuff before you bought it.

I've only ever been once to their shop in Dudley and I wouldn't bother going back, I thought it was expensive and the staff member I spoke to was a bit of an arsehole, when I wanted some help he nodded at me and carried on talking to the woman there about his exploits on the town over the weekend! I waited a minute then just walked out to him saying 'what can I help you with?'. Shutting the door would be nice after I'd gone was the only help I'll need off him! Unless all the stuff is massively discounted now!
