Went to Tillsons at Stockton-on-Tees today and they have the new PCX 125 eSP (enhanced Smart Power) in stock and the new candy red colour.
Same price as the 'old' model and still showing 130mpg and not 133.9mpg as now quoted by Honda. It's also supposed to be even quieter.

So if you are thinking of getting a new PCX look for the eSP badge and buy that or negotiate a discount on the previous models as the dealers have loads left to sell.

I read somewhere that the new engine is more durable, so have Honda had problems with the outgoing one?

I have heard of no issues, I think it's just improvements showing their engineering capabilities and adds to their CO² emission reduction target?

The only problems I have heard of concerning the PCX are a few had duff batteries, there was a recall on some early ones for battery overflow rotting fuel lines and one chap in the US and A got new crankcases when the centrestand mounting lugs fractured.
All sorted under warranty.
Other than that, bulletproof.
Mine has done 10,000 miles without a hiccup.
Improving engine efficiency is the way ahead, so much so that even Piaggio are doing it...
