Some changes for the Honda PCX

For some unfathomable reason, Honda have revised the PCX engine so that it is 3% more efficient  Seems to me a waste of R&D but hey ho.

On a brighter note.... you can now buy a colour version, yes theyve realised Black and White is the past and the PCX is now available in a rather tasty Candy Red :D

It's always been available in Candy Red, just not in the UK.
There are two different reds though, the new PCX150 is a darker red than the 125.
Also available in Japan is a rather fetching blue colour and lets not forget the metallic gold ones available in some far east countries.
As for the fuel efficiency and the 150cc upgrade, I would have preferred to see a 200cc job.
I believe that the R&D was carried over from the Vision 110 which makes the PCX look like a gas guzzler.
Wonder what the claimed 155mpg LX 3V will achieve in the real world...?
Will Piaggio's R&D pay off by the LX 3V outselling the PCX...?
I would like to see a 200-250cc version of that 3V engine in a modern styled scoot.

Vespa have a PX150 in the UK so they seem to think it's worthwhile.
Honda already make a PCX-ish 250 the Faze but it's Japan only.
