Ebike insurance?

For the last few years I've insured with Lexham, Carole Nash and Motorcycle Direct. I've always had more than one scooter, without a garage and never had any problems getting multibike insurance. However, brokers that have quoted me before are now refusing to quote because insurers offering multibike policies now insist you have a garage. (Mine are all ground anchored outside). The only reasonable quote I can get is from Ebike which will insure all three scoots comprehensively in London, outside for £450. If I want Euro cover, it will be an extra £50. The excess on each bike is £350, although I can reduce this to £150 for a premium of £470.

Any of you have any experience of ebike? I have read a few thumbs down reviews on them online.

Been with ebike for years and seem ok. Not had the need to claim yet.

Have they been good value then? I have two claims, one for theft of a car in 2007 and another for an accicdent in 2008, so I thought that £150 fully comp per scoot wasn't too bad. Some of the comments said that premiums jumped dramatically from year to year.

Been with Ebike 3 years,, not needed to claim but i have found the breakdown cover handy.
Easy to check/alter the cover online and i couldn't find anything much cheaper.
I don't think the price has risen much. No more than a few £.

Being able to change the cover easily online seems a very good thing to me. I find dealing with the brokers a real pain. I should stop changing my scoots so often!

I've changed bikes with them midterm online and have never been charged, a very competitive price, I pay £270 for 4 bikes, the 650 Burgman being the biggest and an Swing being the newest. You can manage your account on line and get free European cover for bike.

Excellent, that's useful advice Dave. I think I am almost certainly going to use them. I suspect that you have a garage though!
