Bluetooth helmet headset with 'vibration' driver

Post by melpotter »

Does anyone know anything about these Buhel D01 bluetooth systems?

Apparently they use the whole of your helmet as a speaker. I'm seeing mixed reviews.

I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere.

interesting gadget, wonder how/if the mic works if the visor is down? Personally, I don't like the distraction of a phone or music when riding. (I'm still enjoying the sound of my bike). At most I'll just leave the phone on vibrate so if I get a call, I can pull over at a convenient time/place. I suppose it would be handy to use it to talk without taking the helmet off though.
The geek in me wants one though!

Very interesting but I wouldn't pay £99 just to try it.

Right now I'm using a regular in-ear headset for the iphone. Works ok for phonecalls with the shield down, and it provides noise isolation since they go in the ear canal.

What about the newer helmets with the storage for a bluetooth pack built in ? Nolan call in N-Com I was wondering about one of those for talking to the Mrs when we go for rides, but no idea where to look for one.
