Going to ride to the isle of mull soon we will be using the ferry as well before anyone points out ill get wet

While there we plan on doing some freshwater and sea fishing so gonna be taking a couple of collapsible rods.

But as far as lures and bait go, what sort of stuff will I need to take.

The only fishing I do at home is river fishing for trout grayling, perch, with spinners and maggot but I don't really fancy taking live bait with me so might just stick to lure fishing.

So any advice of where to go, what lures for sea and freshwater, and what were likely to catch would be appreciated.

I've never tried sea fishing, but once I caught a crab when rowing a dingy...

I remember catching crabs once! (Please make up your own punch line.....)

If you're going to Mull, a trip on a charter boat might be fun.
For shore fishing I can recommend these and these.
As a minimum I reckon you'll probably want a half decent 2-4oz 9'6" uptider with an 060 eggbeater loaded with 20lbs BS line.
Find some rocky points where there's deep water and you should be able to jiggle out some of these and loads of these.
Forget bait fishing, you would need to take too much gear and you are less likely to catch as much.
