HI All,
i was wondering what you thought a fair value for a 52 burger 400 would be ? full mot,std and givi screens, fully rebuilt over winter with a powder coated frame,by me ,a motor engineer.
It also had a new fuel tank, here it is before i started to give you an idea.
Image
Here it is mid refit with nice powder coated frame, and new fuel tank.

It comes with a givi rack on the rear, new Oxford heated grips, the belt is in very good order, the tyres are fine, loads of invoices, service history and previous mot's, the motor had a refresh, and new oil and filter.new rad cap,new metal cooling hoses, fresh coolant, alternator monitor built into the clocks to monitor charging voltage. The seat bolster cushion was re trimmed. And new fork seal
The exhaust is stainless steel, as are the fasteners which hold it on.
It doesnt seem to burn any oil at all,the connectors to the rectifier were replaced with oe items, the brake pads were replaced, absolutely everything works, 2 keys,logbook,handbooks,2 owners from new and 38k.Oh and it goes like the clappers.
So bring it on what do you reckon?
I'm thinking of selling it , only because i managed to get hold of a very nice vw golf for peanuts, and cant justify having 3 personal vehicles.

although youv'e done a lot of work to the burger and it is "well sorted", with the highish miles, Im with gn2 on the value, I'd say keep it , ride it, and reap the benefits of all that hard work.

I will actually ,ive just got to finish off repairing the golf, and fitting the towbar and stuff, then it will be for sale.
Its a great scoot,no fuel injection to fail, its got a carb, easy to fix,It doesnt need anything.
As i say i cant really justify 3 personal vehicles, so something has to give, i wont sell the Bmw Gs weve been in love for years, and were off to morocco in 6 weeks.

I had a 400 x8 for a while, nice scoot, but i couldnt fit 2 full face large lids under the seat, you can with the burger.
As i say i need to downsize, but thanks for the offer.

Its got a small engine, but a big top box that can take two lids.

You can get 4 lids in and on the burger.
Why do you want rid of the 250?

Wouldn't mind something with a little more poke.

I reckon 4 lids could just about be done in the box and underseat on the X9 too.
