Battery lifespan is variable but I would expect one to last seven to ten years.
Any less than that and I would be pretty disappointed.

Agree with gn2 on the variability thing. Generally found the gel type of batteries now fitted to many bikes last around 4-5 years. Suzy Vstroms and the like are around that but they run a lot of electrics. Can be less but not usually much more. Depends on use to of course and how good you are at looking after it if you ever store the bike away for bad weather. Opitimate of similar helps. I ride all year round so have never needed to charge a battery in recent years.

My god store because of bad weather. I use every day and do around 350 miles. a week come rain, shine snow or wind, lol. The problem is its just an old batt the one that she was fitted with at the factory. So its done well. All sorted now a nice new gell batt all fitted
