Just doesn't look right, a modern vespa trying to look like a trad scoot.

Jesus Christ my eyes started bleeding looking at that thing

Covering a PX or LML in chrome and mirrors is embarrassing enough but doing it to an auto vespa is just asking to have the piss ripped out of you
After restoration though the scoot looks great

and maximum respect to the Guy who carried out such a thorough job,

That was a great read.
Bit alarming about the rusty seams after just three years, the previous owner sounds like a total plank who would probably have completely neglected to do any proper protective work on it.

What a great read, personally dont have an issue with the bathroom tat on autos as its what mods do. The rust wasnt a surprise at all, Piaggio dont paint inside the frames properly or apply any rust proofing... its just steel open to the elements so will rust very fast.

It was the DIY whitewalls that made me laugh.

Yes, they were world class

I also liked the 150 self tappers used to hold the ally to the floor and used on the seat cover

Modern Vespa is a pretty good forum in all, but as I no longer own a Vespa I don't go on there so much now.

Same here. Their MP3 section was better than the UK forum.
