Yes badge means nothing for anything, even AEG have started manufacturing in China (not that they tell you that). Your scooter list is about right but not over impressed with the fit and finish on the BMW. Well not for the price anyway.

My 2012 Majesty seems OK, I have not exactly lavished care and attention on it over the winter and apart from the odd bit of surface rust on the odd nut and bolt all is well. It's used every day to commute.

I was a little uncertain about the BMW placing, their G650GS looked very good but perhaps the scooters were below that. I must admit I had great difficulty in looking at the BMW scooters very hard as they completely failed to interest me!

Japan is finding it very difficult to remain competitive, Piaggio had a bad 2013, this recession and the eurokrieg isn't helping scooterdom either.

i would also say its whats under the skin that matters as well, the scoot and bike industry is the same as car industry... whats made where and which manufacturer uses the underpinnings is a mistery :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Would anyone be interested in an organised visit to the two main SYM plants in Taiwan and China - you would see first hand the machines on the production lines (SYM, Hyundai and possibly one or two others...), at the Xiamen factory in China you will most likely see SYM and Peugeot.......

Obviously there would be a price tag, but I feel sure the itinerary and hospitality would be worth it......

I'd be interested in a new dash to quiet the noisy fan in my Joyride 200 and an effort to stop the engine check light flashing!
Ideally at a dealer nearer than Taiwan or Preston.

All suggestions welcome.
