We only had 4 of us on the pie and mash run when we have had 17 of us a few years back. Should of cancelled the rideout but not because of numbers.
Small rides are sometimes better as its hard work keeping an eye on loads of people.

Its a shame we have hardly any ride outs now. The only ones around SE are usually done by me. (Pie and Mash, Margate, Toy runs etc).
Looking forward to the two X9OC runs I will attend this year.

feels to me that either most scooter owners here are turning into commuter only use and not want to enjoy their scooters anymore, or just becoming bunch of lazies.
Next time someone claims they love their scoot because they can have fun with it as well as daily chores of commuting, etc, i'll ask them how many leisure rides they have been to.
I bought another camera just so that i could use it on a rideout, but then couldn't do any this year yet (apart from the may day run which is a countrywide event anyway)
Can someone recommend another forum that organises regular rideouts?

Very disappointing - I feel mildly frustrated as I can't easily get to these rideouts at the moment.
I wonder if having a list of 'regular' rides is one answer; the X9OC still has two or three which are run annually and at about the same time.
The next, in August, is down on numbers this year but will probably still go ahead and will probably have more participants again next year.
The 'Pie & Mash' Run, amongst others, seems to have become an annual event and takes place with even low numbers and people can look forward to it, knowing roughly when it will be.
A scootering friend posted that he was going on a Ride, would be at the start-point at such-and-such a time and if anyone wanted to go, just turn up.
No-one did but he still went on the Ride because he wanted to ride!
When I get back we are planning to do a few Rides together and if anyone else wants to tag along, so be it, but if they don't it won't stop us.
Don't be down-hearted.

Lets face it, the main reason most people pull out is RAIN. To be honest if I look at the weather forecast a couple of days before the ride out and it Say's "it's going to rain" I pull out, sad I know but sitting around with soaking wet cloths is no fun,,,Yes I know we should all have wet weather gear and we all do, but the best gear wont hold out a heavy down pour and its no fun riding with bad vision on your visor or screen and most cagers trying to kill you while they listen to their music in their centrally heated tin cans..
Now if the next ride out is forecast to be 75 degree and sunny everyone and his or her brother will be there, along with me
