FYI happy campers, directions on the website ....
From the A44/A470 -North Street enter Rhayader proceed down to the clock tower and turn right into West Street B4518, over the River Wye through Cwmdauddwr and follow the signs to the Elan Valley. Continue for about 2.7miles past the Elan Valley Hotel and the site is on the lefthandside before the cattle grid.
.... work fine if sat-nat is on fastest route, if set on shortest route part way on B4518 it will tell you to take a left, this will take you the 'pretty way' through the woods, while it's no the lane where I slung mine down the road, it's not a lot better, if it's raining (or has been recently) I would advise staying on the 'main road'. If you do go the 'pretty way' it's, straight through the village, over the bridge turn right, then right again, over the cattle grid immediate right. HTH
