Slightly tired??!? 400 miles on the burgman with one stop... You must have an iron butt. I felt so uncomfortable on the maxis on the long runs due to upright sitting position and all the weight going down my spine. Shame about the leg shield, but at least it wasn't an accident or dropping. If burgman's leg space wasn't enough for you i don't know what would be! :)

Whoa, a supercharged burgman. Sounds awesome. I wish i had your skills, but then again maybe it's better this way. I wouldn't want any more power on my current bike :)

Burgman will be very nimble when you upgrade its power. You should keep a diary of its progress and have a post here. I'm sure many of us will be interested.

The FJR is giving me huge smile everytime i ride it. I had a couple of weeks holiday recently and i found myself missing the thing, although all i do with it is a 26 mile motorway commute. At the end of the day, whatever you ride should give you a smile and that's what matters. I'm pretty sure i'll be missing the comfort of a maxi if i change jobs and commute to London jungle again, but for the moment it's the best tool for me.

Enough thread highjacking for now :) Keep us posted with your developments on the burgman!

A few years ago I'd have done both, ridden from Brighton, done the Pie & Mash, ridden to North Notts, done the reunion and ridden home again through the night. Doing something similar in 2012 almost f*cked me up completely so it's one or the other this time around.

Frankly I'd rather do the Pie & Mash Run at the moment but we'll see.
My intentions are to come on this then leave straight after the pie 'n' mash and hoof it back to Brighton as we are out in the evening. I'm giving the works reunion a miss. :)

I really am trying to get to this, but the dreaded lurgi won't go away...I spend most of the night coughing and getting very little sleep. If i do come I will probably come in the van as it's not so draining. I even had the SH serviced yesterday for this ride out. I'll let you know.
