Well I've got around 60 cross-country miles to get the the 8Ball diner, but you've probably got further than that I think.

The return route will be going to Mersea via layer de haye, abberton and Peldon.

From Colchester
Thought it would be nice to take the old clacton road B1027 to clacton and then along the sea front to Frinton and Walton but i'm open to suggestions.

Colchester will be a right pain to drag everyone through.

But what we could do after J28 is carry on up to Langham/Dedham. Pick up the B1029. Follow that to the B1027 at Thorrington and take the route you said.

Unless you want me to take the lead?

By the way there is now bike parking at Kino Road. The streetview doesn't show it, but its here.

I have consulted with the committee and we have decided that you should take place of honor and lead us to the promised pie and mash land.
It now gives me great pleasure on behalf of the MUPPET KINGDOM to pronounce you leader of the pack.,,,and may all your pot holes be small ones.. amen.

PS are you going to be at the 8 ball or Jnc 28.???

Sure no probs, better think of a route that each year I mess up and miss a turn! lol There's some big potholes around here!

I'll be at 8 ball probably unless its really raining.
