Blimey the ADV350 is getting popular. Think I was the first to get one on here.

Well, once everyone had a Tmax, now there are loads of ADV350s around - despite the fact that the adventure scooter was something you never knew you needed until they invented it! Maybe we are all finding the Tmax too complex and expensive these days? I rode my mk3 Tmax yesterday for the first time since I got the ADV and its still a fantastic thing to ride on fast roads, and pretty comfortable. However the ADV is just the thing for Cumbrian back roads which resemble assault courses rather than roads!

It's cause they are light, nippy and handle really well. Mind you I'd like a forza 750 next.

Spent the day in Snowdonia on mine yesterday. Motorway to get there and back and a mixture of twisty A and B roads and single track stuff. It went like a dream on tem all.
My first scooter, should have bought one years ago.

One thing that struck me yesterday was how Tiny the Tmax mk3's underseat space looked compared to the huge space in the ADV350! Still, the Tmax does take a full face helmet, so its not too bad.

Can I be rude and ask what you weigh, Mr Grumpy? I only ask because at 73kg I would never describe the ADV (25 model) ride quality as 'just the thing' - excellent bike though it is in most respects.
Especially on the back roads between Avebury and Upavon via Honey Street which I used yesterday, and really felt for my spine and most of the component parts of the bike...was really glad of those rear 'footrests' to support my weight!

Where exactly are these Cumbrian back roads which resemble assault courses? Unless you live in some rural back of beyond village the roads are pretty much the same as anywhere else. Apart from dim sheep on fell roads and the Wainwright walking wankers that park wherever they like blocking access to emergency vehicles in places like Wasdale the roads are pretty much like everywhere else.

Can anyone recommend a disc lock that fits the ADV?

Just leave a main road in the general Lakes area, and you get a shock! I've just moved from the Teesside / North Yorks/ Durham area and most of the back roads there are like M-ways in comparison! Only the tiniest side roads in the Dales are comparable. The roads are so narrow, and winding, and so hilly! And very roughly surfaced in places. The Tmax used to sail over every bad road in N Yorks, but even it's sophisticated suspension struggles on some of the bad bumps here (which is why I bought the ADV!). Alarming number of completely blind junctions on awkward hills round here as well.

Well, I've now had a ride on an ADV350 and I have to say I'm impressed, very smooth riding, very easy to control, the display is nice and clear with the additional information relatively intuitive to find.
I'm really looking forward to collecting it on 1st September .
