Pandrop wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 12:24 am Just been catching up on Jim's crankshaft saga and Ive had a look at Jim's garage of choice which looks like a very professional set-up. Do we have any Yorkshire based Helix riders who could recommend a trustworthy and knowledgable mechanic specifically for Helix scooters in or around the Leeds/Bradford/Harrogate/Skipton sort of areas?
Cheers
KP Motorcycles in Harehills; a proper old-skool bike shop. Kev, the proprietor, is a great chap and has done all the jobs on my CNs that I can't (or won't) do.
Brilliant ! thanks Jaz, thats only 30 minutes away from me , and old-skool is exactly what I need .
Thanks V much
Andrew

Anything engine related can be found here as well: http://www.scooterpartsexpress.com/stan ... uid-cooled

I got my CH/CN250 crankshaft (OEM price with main bearings £700+) (but NLA) for £25.00 of the bay and from a uk source.

Jim
Belated also. The more reliable engine being the vertical. The early ch250 spacey or elite shared the vertical engine. I have 2 of them. One is mobile in original condition and useable. The other i stripped over lockdown put it into boxes as to preserve the runner for the future. No point in having something if you cant get the bits to keep the original idea mobile.

I’ve just bought a CH250 Crankshaft assembly to replace the knackered one in my Helix, it was a good deal at £25 compared with £700+ for new and which are NLA from Honda.
