If anyone want supplies, the nearest supermarkets are in Bayeux. There's a Lidl on the ring road as you make your way to arromanches

Rouen is great for nipping about on the scoot. Loads of narrow streets and easy parking. We'll have a steady meander along the side of the Seine tomorrow morning. Call at Harfleur, maybe and be in Arromanches , mid afternoon.
The weather is improving .
It only pissed it down for 2 hours today

I'd like to thank MM for bringing the sunshine with them. I've been in Caen since Thursday with ESMCC. It p**sed it down all the way from Calais with cloud bursts of biblical proportion not to mention the 2hour delay at Folkstone because of the Le Man 24 hour groupies.
Friday was good until 3pm at which point waterproofs needed.
Today fantastic and just back to hotel from St Marie Eglise
Homeward bound tomorrow but have great trip MM

I've had to bail out :( failed Mot Friday 'notchy' steering, stripped most of it last night, finished stripping this morning then bearing factors then rebuilt front end & lunchtime retest, loaded 'stuff' & set off, got nearly to Warwick before discomfort set in, left motorway, found a pub & sat around a while, decided that the best option was to head home rather than try to keep progressing & possibly suffering the same problem during the long run in France
