The switch column on the left handlebar is a little cluttered and I occasionally hit the horn button instead of the indicators. That's trivial when the same switch column works that excellent electric adjustable screen, I fitted the taller Givi. The mirror stems could have been longer, blind spot mirrors sorted that niggle out, and Honda could have fitted a rear hugger similar to the one on the Forza 125.

As for motorways, at first the Forza felt physically small but I soon got used to it and now it's natural as on a bigger maxi. I ride the 300 as if it was a larger capacity so I've never felt the Forza lacked the poke of a bigger scooter. Since I downsized I've never had any interest in going up in size again, unless it's for something like a Peugeot Metropolis 400 SW.

Exactly that! I never got the hang of it and so gave away my handlebar mitts as I could not guarantee hitting the right one without seeing the switch.

I do miss that electric screen. Thought it was a gimmick at first, but oh no, it was so useful. Had to add a little extender thing to the screen on the X360 as it is just too low for high speed running.

I am a Pug fan myself, having had 2 Elystars and 3 Satelis 250 Executives. I only wish they had imported the Satelis 400 with ABS, but I think they spent all their money on the Metropolis suspension instead (and then lost a copyright case brought by Piaggio).

Don't know why they didn't put those controls like they did on the ADV350

I've had mine for nearly 2 months now and I still hit the horn instead of the indicators every now and then. As to the mirror stems they could be longer. I can see too much of my arms and not enough of what's behind me. Think I might invest in blind spot mirrors.

Yep, I do the same and it can be embarrassing to "toot" some innocent driver minding their own business.

I would be interested to know what mirrors you have in mind Msw and how you get on with them. I know the view of my arms too well.

I wasn't kind to Honda about the mirrors on the customer satisfaction survey they sent me.

I fitted a blind spot mirror on day 2 of ownership. It changes it from lethal to simply $#1t. Yes you can see what's behind rather than in shop windows beyond the other carriageway, but it's small, it distorts and you have to learn to focus on it not the mirror it's mounted to.

If I can find a way to remove the fairing mounted things I'm likely to fit motorcycle type mirrors to the bars.

There are more than one type of blind spot mirrors you can fit. Round, square, oblong, concave, etc, there are even ones you fix to the top of the mirror. Blind spot mirrors are inexpensive and easy to fit and remove, I tried a set from Halfords before settling for a pair off eBay.

If you remove the fairing mounted things although not ideal they're also the Forza's indicators and running lights. Then you're need to source and buy set of mirrors with indicators fitted and all the malarkey of wiring them in. You could also find they foul the screen on full lock.

The Forza's mirrors shortcomings was much discussed amongst 300 owners when it replaced the older model in 2018-19.
Stick-on blind spot mirrors were accepted to be the most practical and inexpensive solution.

I tried ones that stick on top of the mirrors.
They were very good but they succumbed to the strong wind blowing the cover under which I store my Forza.
Then I bought a pair of little round ones that stick on the glass; they work fine.
I do wish there were mirrors that mount on the bars in the holes provided, though. Recently, I came on a very long line of stationary and slow-moving traffic on a motorway and, being an inveterate 'filterer', flipped the mirrors up - I was stationary in the queue at that point - and slipped between the cars. Trouble was that when the traffic cleared for a few hundred yards, I couldn't see behind me and was travelling fast enough that it wasn't easy to flip the mirrors back.
There must be a way . . . . ;)

I'm waiting to see if I can acquire a dirt cheap pair of VFR or faired BMW indicators at an auto jumble for a few quid. I will then measure up see how big a spacer is needed for legal indicators without the mirrors. If that'll work I'll fit the bar mounted mirrors from an F650 or MZ and upgrade the test indicators to new.

Might be a complete dead end or a job for someone with a 3-D printer who can do better than hand cut nylon block.

I suppose these days I should just fit a camera under the rack and watch the feed on my phone screen.

Would some thing like this work https://www.amazon.co.uk/OBEST-Waterpro ... merReviews No alteration to the bike needed and probably the cheapest option. Going from the sublime to the ridiculous you could have two cameras at the back and the monitors attached to the mirrors. A lot of modern trucks use cameras instead of the blindspot inducing lumps they usually have and they apparently work very well. As a lot of bikes have poor mirrors I have often wondered if some thng like thiis would be better?. just a thought :)
first link didn't work so I'll try again
