Re: If Cliff can do it so can I
Transit used about pint of oil in 2500 miles topped up this morning before crossing back and about 3 pints of water .Some hard days in Alps would use water other days not I'd say it has slight leak somewhere or water pump, spindle .Only fault was loose connection on indicator where I wired hi level trailer board in .Brought new bulbs thinking it was that but not .Scooter wise had to take up play in rear wheel again .I did take new hub with me but was so hot didn't do it .Anyway lasted on 60 mile ride out and back into town to catch coach to Gala dinner.

Welcome Back, reminds me of a bike video, where a group does some extreme biking going to Everest base camp, in the background on many of the places visited is the trusty Transit they had as a support vehicle, loaded with the tools and camping equipment needed to get there.
As for the Calais ferries, last time I was coming back, I said to the others in the group, politicians should do the crossing to get some idea of what's happening these days if they don't know. Most people using it were east European young families with expectant mothers. Just boat fulls of displaced people, or are they just visitors to our new intake of migrant workers in England?
