Isn't the x9 125 linked brakes?

Yes the X9 125 has linked braking system, twin disc front,

Front brake operates both front calipers and small percentage of the back at same time
Back brake operates back caliper with small amount of front caliper.

Lincked brakes are usless in snow! i went out and tryed to push x9 throw thick snow to end of my street to where the clear gritted road was, but ever time i press the back brake to stop bike for slipping the front came on causing front sideways slip lol, yeah there not good for snow or ice even at pushing speeds.

Shouldn't be riding in the snow anyway.

anyways good thread... my daughter was taught to brake using both at the same time, using more pressure on both when needed at her CBT with the emphasis that you had no gearing to down change like a geared bike, so locking the rear whether chain or shaft would be less likely to occur, you just have engine braking on throttle off.

I used to live in Bavaria at the Austrian border seeing the mountains through my windows. In my youth I sometimes had to take cross country skis to go to school.
On snow, it is a relative soft drop with slow speeds. And you probably wear thick protective gear. Even the bike won't get scratches like on tarmac. Guess how I know.

Yup, i can confirm it's a real soft landing indeed And generally quite safe for the bike to land on a soft layer of snow.
