I went on a Mercedes training course a few years back. They were developing a system for their passenger cars, which if the vehicle sensed it was in an emergency stop situation, It would take over the braking completely.

The most arguable disadvantage of ABS on bikes is that you still cannot brake around corners (you really are not supposed to anyway); otherwise ABS would "try to hold the bike upright" no matter what. If this is your concern, the solution has been found ... BOSCH MSC - anti-lowside technoloy. I am impressed

Looks like the safest thing to do is just add those 2 extra wheels on the sides lol

When I bought my Honda SH125i this year [April] didn't want the A.B.S. Got linked brakes.

Every Honda scooter of 125cc and above has linked brakes. Was it worth going without ABS to save a couple of hundred quid?
Edit: Just £150 extra to get the ABS version!!!!!!!

electronic aides are all well and good ,but lets just hope people still get trained how to brake properly without the aides on bikes for a long time to come .

If that's the way the rider with the trainer wheels brakes in the wet then he needs to give up and get a nice little car.
Having said that the ABS one is impressive. even though the rider of the non ABS one does not make any attempt to
do anything but hammer on the brakes and but for the trainer wheels fall off, mind you if the EU sees this we will have
mandatory trainer wheel's soon.

I would think that as long as it does not go wrong, a mate as just had to pay £1200 to fix the abs,
then you would get the £150 back by getting a higher trade in, but if it does fail it will cost a lot
more than £150 to replace just in labour, not all ABS systems are created equal, I have had 2 cars
with abs one was excellent the one I have now cut's in much to early.
