Im sure a sh would be capable of a euro trip, 65-70mph cruising, 140 between fill ups, just depends on how much luggage to take.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

South of France should not be a problem on the SH300. I did a 10 day camping trip around the west coast of Scotland. Top box, throw over panniers and Ortlieb roll bag on mine and it coped well. Still handled o.k and coped with legal speed limits.
Fuel cosumption suffered slightly due to increased weight.

Yep, but keeping up with my mates on a 650 Burg, a Yamaha R1 and an MV Augusta F4 might have been a bit of a problem!
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

That's very true. Not a problem on my trip though, a it was solo!

I hear what you are saying, but for me the SH, whilst it was wonderfully mental, lacked comfort in most respects (and had little luggage space). So for me, the Forza looks like a better option, with roughly similar performance but with more comfort and space (once you've fitted the higher screen anyway). Which reminds me that the early SH300s didn't have a screen as standard at all! Mine had a little fly screen and even with that it was freezing cold! I bought a higher screen which improved things a bit.

There again, the Piaggio Bev ST is a similar idea to the SH300, equally small, but with more comfort, more luggage space and even more grunt! (More servicing bills as well probably, but you can't have everything!).

Never even thought about comfort on the SH, so I guess i must find it comfortable! :D

After maxi scoots i do miss decent underseat storage and need to have the top box on there ( i hate top boxes) so I can put my back pack in there. But after years of riding motorbikes with zero storage and I wouldn't fit a top box so had to wear my back pack, the SH still wins for me there.

My SH came with no screen and it was bloody hideous! I fitted a Puig city which was okay and would make a good summer screen but lacked protection in rain etc. So I opted for an Givi air flow. Love the adjustability of it but hate the headlight glare bounce back, especially on it slowest setting. That said I'm pretty much used to it now.

Never knew what a Forza was until I looked just now. Nice, although if i'm honest and was going to go back to a maxi style scoot i'd go Tmax again.

For me the SH is just functional so don't really care about how it looks etc, it juts has to get me in and out of London and have enough grunt to accelerate round all the filthy grab lorries on the A13 and hopefully return me soem respectable MPG, which I'm glad to say it does. Over the weekend I found myself thinking about a NC700X DCT for commuting but after riding in on the SH this morning I dismissed the idea but suspect I may well have an NC700 at some point...

I've often contemplated a N700/750X, but after a while I always come to the conclusion that it would offer me very little more than the Tmax already does, apart from probably better fuel consumption, but with less convenient storage, chain drive and less weather protection.

Its the chain drive (and lack of funds) that puts me off too. No doubt I will at some point but aren't keen to return to chain maintenance.

Well i still have the SH300 and on the way in to work today it tripped over the 50k miles! 8-) Incredible little scoot really. I hadn't particularly intended to keep it and assumed i'd revert back to a Tmax, as I always do. But its just been so good. Its light, agile, economical (c80mpg)and will happily sit at the legal speed limit on the motorway with a little bit of grunt left to overtake something.

Its not really showing any signs of quitting just yet either, although it'll probably blow up now i've said that! I've been working through replacing all the bearings as something is singing a bit. Had one of the gearbox ones done at scootech but was stupid and should have had them all done, maybe I still will? Its due a belt change and i'll replace the rollers with same weight Dr pulleys whilst I'm about it, and then I expect it'll be good for another 15k or more?

Regardless of the weather it starts up the same. Doesn't use any oil or water and just does whatever I asks of it. Brakes dont bind or anything. Can't really fault it.
I keep saying i'll get a NC700 or another Tmax but never seem to get round to it as this keeps just whizzing along fine. Not much of a long term report more to just say this scoot has surprised me somewhat. Hope everyones well? :)

Good news, nothing wrong with boring reliability and no expensive maintenance.

Maybe Dr Pulleys will add some pep and keep you on it for another year until the TMax bug really hits again. Only thing I didn't like was rather cramped foot space, but I guess you're not bothered by this?
