Re: Length of Ownership
Ive had 2 machines since late 2003. A Piaggio Skipper ST 125 which I had for four and a half years, covered nearly 36000 miles on it, the electrical side of it was starting to fail though. An attempted theft brought the end to that machine with the damage done to it. My current one an XEvo 125, Ive had since June 2008 just gone through the 33000 miles barrier, apart from the initial immobiliser aerial issues (3 replaced under warranty) and a replacement water pump no real problems. In my opinion a far better built machine.

Re: Length of Ownership
The Gilera Nexus 500 from new, May 2004. So nearly 9 years and 40,000+ miles. I would buy a new one tomorrow if I could.

From Burgman650 to S-Wing125, had the 125 for a year now and it was the right move for me.

Re: Length of Ownership
Had the Xevo just over 2 years and 20k miles later it's still great fun.
I wish they'd do a 500 version (not that I could afford it now anyway). I'll probably keep it until it falls to bits as I might want more power but I don't need it .

Re: Length of Ownership
Tell Mrs Jedburgh, "This bike is the one, I'm sticking with this", repeat every 12 - 18 months. Only time I've ever stuck with the same brand/type - Yamaha TMAX!

Re: Length of Ownership
Had both my present scooters from new.
2009 SH300i for commuting - about 13,000 miles on clock - three smallish crashes.
2011 Burgman 650 Exec for dry weekends and European road trips - about 4,500 miles on clock. Haven't ridden it for over 3 months now. No crashes to date.
I'll keep both until they fall to bits. Or lose my bottle. Or crash big time!
