At the last count that was at least 4 of us interested, I think come the summer we should see just how many are interested and see what we can do. We can even have how own section on here :-)

I must addmit that they really do look the part and wonder what they will be like touring. They can probably hold themselves against the Tmax and Burgman i think. Would like to read more info on the 600 though. 8-)

What do you reckon halfabusa? As spaceprobe says...maybe, just maybe next summer we might all club together and approach some dealers. I reckon there maybe at least 5 of us. At least it's worth us finding out what's what, if you see what I mean. Gotta look in my piggy bank first though.

I suspect the 600i will pull in quite a few Burgman riders amongst others, as it's so similar to the Burgy 400 but with much more clout. I notice the fuel economy under the world motorcylce fuel consumption thingy is around 65mpg. Not bad I reckon and should mean it's capable of much more in real riding, unless you ride hard all the time. We'll see.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Shouldn't be too much different to the 600 one?
Thanks for this gn.

Data you are has bad as me, don't SYMUK own some dealers (hint hint Steve if you are reading this), if not perhaps they could talk to one of their dealers, nice bit of publicity for SYM and a good start for a new model

You are right spaceprobe. But I'm probably worse!! :o Could be a nice bit of publicity for the Muppets too I guess, if they want it.

We must stop putting temptation in each others way. I am 60 in May and get my pension and lump sum so I can definitely hear that 600 calling he he. I have friends and family living in Essex and the Herts border so perhaps we can hook up for a coffee some time (and to choose the colours we want for our new Syms  ). Time to throw the suitcase on the back of the Max and head off to Gatwick to escape to the sun for a week.

We are both in exactly the same situation, except I'm 60 after Christmas... I get one of my company pensions at the end of January... ;) it's not a big one though! :o :( But a lump sum comes with it. :D Would love to meet up sometime.

tempting as it is, i am not near a lump sum pension payment time and plus i have sworn to myself not to buy brand new bike/car ever again after my first ever bike got stripped right outside my window. I can't bear the thought of paying £6k on a bike only to sell it less than half price within a few years...

I'd love to try out a 2nd hand one when they fall to 2nd hand market though...

p.s. never would have guessed you approaching 60. more like mid 50's. You're not counting the years spent in warp speed on the Enterprise are you?

I would definitely choose Sym over Piaggio....

Just back from EICMA show, superb as always!

Had lengthy meeting (as always!) and pushed hard for better service intervals - we will make headway here because it is a debate already fairly well advanced. I will of course keep you posted.

We are constantly evaluating the dealer network - and you are quite right we need dealers in Scotland......

Thanks
