98mph gusts near me (Poole) and house also shaking. Had the power off from 1130 to 7:10pm yesterday. Gusts of up to 120mph on I.O.W apparently. Rode my Burger just before it all arrived. It's tied up to a tree with a ratchet strap and covered up. Just hope the tree doesn't come down! :) Fed up of picking the bins back up.

Data wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 9:40 am The news said don't walk, drive or ride your motorbike today and stay away from the coast and boats! Thank goodness they didn't say "don't ride your scooter"! So I'm off for a ride to the coast on my GTS with my Kayak strapped to the bike. The ride should be lovely and exhilaratingly. Should get some really good photos of the waves as they crash over me! Can't see anything wrong with that, can you? I don't think it will be dangerous in this RED weather warning area do you?

PS. Weather girl has said Essex will be gusting to 80+mph Where I live. Not looking forward to this. Stay safe everyone!
Where were you Ian? I was windsurfing off Felixstowe at midday and could of done with a Kayak supporting me
Mrs Stibbs and I have had a day in front of tele. Watched a film and a documentary. Even had some wine before our dinner. Life’s is tough icon_thumbs_up.gif the worst is over. Burger back out next week icon_looking-good.gif
Oh crumbs Steve, yeah missed you. Could have gotten some great shots of you flying through the air. Alas, I was swept out to sea in the near 100mph winds and nearly didn't make it! :o Who would have foreseen that! If only they'd said "don't ride your scooter & go kayaking out to sea" I'd have been alright!
