To check the valves or adjust is easy. Although bear in mind you have to take the double overhead cams out to adjust the shims on the 2007 onwards bikes but it doesn't take long once you have done it a time or two.
Good to know, except that the likelihood of me doing it myself is slim indeed.
I used to be a good home mechanic. That was when I had bikes that needed working on regularly, and I was employed by someone else.
Nowadays, I am out of practice, and short on free time, that I'd rather spend actually riding.
I've long since come to the conclusion that the best, and most profitable, option is to drop my bikes with a trusted mechanic, and go do what I do best instead.

I'm pretty much the same these days Capitano. I've retired fully from all work now and I only work on my bikes and one of two family machines. Still enjoy it but don't have the time for it like I used to. Much prefer riding instead!

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it mr suzuki......
The 400 is an excellent bike..
Correction. the 400 burgman
was a good scooter untill they stream lined it an made it smaller , less storage ,smaller sreen , half size back rest that does nothing for support and smaller less comfortable seat . My nc750 has a more comfortable seat than the new burgman 400. in my opinion they spoilt it . i won't be buying another one .

Gosh! Almost every review says that the NCs seat is too hard and narrow!

Suzuki dropping the Burgman?

I have just read where Suzuki are planning to drop the Burgman. It seems the 400 may go on,( as it meets Euro 5 regs) but the 650 may have run it's course. Apparently it was an interview with Suzuki for a French bike mag. There may be a replacement it seems.

Suzuki build quality on 650:( lack of

) ie during warranty period issues with brake discs/calipers/ bearing failures/oil feed line failure/electrical issues/corrosion etc. Suzuki tossers to deal with did most work myself.Oh and the extortionate service costs.Bag of sh*te,good riddance.
