Ditto, in my regretted and expensive experience....partexed after 4 months for the Forza 125, which is dynamically superior in every respect.abitmad wrote:I've had two REs. A Bullet a few years ago and very recently a Classic with the latest Euro 4 spec.
Both gave repeated problems, oddly, the far newer Classic was the worse. I stress that this isn't just my isolated personal experience, it's common. REs are very fault prone, the reason being the poor quality control compared with what we have come to expect from the main Jap and Euro bike makers.
Is this so-called 'Thunderbird' (yes surely a Triumph trademark) actually going to be sold in UK?

Re: Another nice looking R.E.
the existing thunderbird ( a cruiser style bullet) was not a UK model, this new model looks really nice if you ask me, but I agree with greybeard, the choice of a bullet or a forza 125?? Forza everytime.Greyerbeard wrote:Ditto, in my regretted and expensive experience....partexed after 4 months for the Forza 125, which is dynamically superior in every respect.abitmad wrote:I've had two REs. Re: Another nice looking R.E.
Over the last couple of years I understand the quality of RE bikes has improved considerably. That's what I've heard through the trade. I'd love to spend a bit of time with one poking about in the crevices, especially at the wiring loom. I did have a pretty good look around a 'classic' at the NEC and to be fair, it looked great!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!
