Thanks luandablue and michaelphillips. I have ICE details on the home screen of my phone with the relationship in brackets. The means that, if my phone is working, anyone can pick it up and see these details. The thought about the cards is a good one...I'll print off a couple and put them in the glove box and under the seat.

My thinking was that my phone is mounted on the bars as GPS and PMP. This has ICE details both in the contacts and on the homescreen if the phone is locked. I was also thinking I'll keep a card in the glove compartment on the dash which doesn't lock and one under the seat just in case....this will probably be a spare for the one in the glove compartment. I also have next of kin details in my passport and of course the registration of the bike could be used to track down next of kin in extremis.
