''Does he need to get inoculations as well?''
It would be wise to do so, but not essential unless he ventures into The Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire, he also needs a Visa for that though.

I quite often sneak across the border when the guards are feeding thier ferrets, i love Lancashire but Yorkshire roads, and scenery take some beating. I was at another dealers today (supposed to be SYM agent) they say the same buy first, no demo .That's it, I've had enough messing with this stupid company they can keep thier machines. Looks like another Silverwing 600 for me. :)

Well i have not, in buying bikes for over fifty years i have never come across such a stupid policy. Iam sorry but anyone that pays sixthousand pounds for something they have never seen i would like to meet, as i have a gold mine for sale in Nigeria, and an Opal mine i can let them have cheap in Australia. Just send me your bank details and I'll help myself to your money.

I have got 2 gold mines but the Opel may be of interest. :-) it's a short sighted policy by dealers and I expect reflects to poor state of the British maxi market. Down here the only demos I could get were on used Burg 400 and 650.

Very frustrating indeed. Come on Mister SYMUK, let us in on your cunning plan! ;)
Mister Sylar I remembered reading that you do 12000 miles a year: :)

You've got at least another 4 years of Silver-winging-it fella! I've read that many have done 100000+ miles when they're looked after. The Silverwing is a well proven Scooter - the UK Style has remained unchanged for 13 years!
We Cornish are known for not changing our tired ol' tractors until they go below 5mph downhill on a straight road, but I did respectfully wonder why someone would trade in a Silverwing for the exact same Model? Nothing has been 'improved' from the one you have. Is the £4000+ cost to change for the 2 Year warranty?

I guess from brother is an idiot, then. Sight-unseen, no test ride possible, he imported a Tmax 530 from Canada. After purchase, customs, import and registration, he had about $7,500 in a 2012 Tmax 530 with 4,000Km.

After he got it and (we) road it? It's AMAZING, worth EVERY PENNY of the $12,000 they cost new in Europe.

Trust the reviews and take the PLUNGE!!! 8-)

Skutorr your bro purchased a tried and tested item from the maxi leader ,where as sym is trying to promote there items and i for one agree with sylar no test no buy and for trusting any media reviews never as most are done by out and out motorcyclists who tend to be biased and directed in more ways than one . I would never have got the srv based on its reviews alone . Spacey however had good experience of the brand and its lower sibling as did skutorr`s bro .

Meldrew that's not quite correct. There is a large sym screen and a sports screen. There is a givi large screen. Shad and Givi top boxes. Wind deflectors and fitted aprons. What more would you like?
