Re: mmm Tamx?
whether you need to fund the next scoot by any type of higher purchase etc, you still got to have the mentality that its still cash for the dealer, so dont remember to still haggle on price of part exchange... it took me about 1 hr to get an extra 200 off the dealer and that was a cash exchange... one trick is to ask more than what you want by £200 for your ride then you will be around your need price.
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I tried this with my GTS, an inspired idea.Funkycowie wrote:Buy low mileage second hand...
I thought I'd buy one s/h to sell on if I didn't like it. I won the fleecebay bid and arranged to collect, only so discover this still-in-warranty SYM GTS was already on the 2nd battery, had scratches, no paperwork and no service book etc either - although it may have been genuine, and wasn't really the GTS I'd been looking for. So for £1000 more just up the road I bought a new one from a dealer who had one on sale
(From GLM: http://www.glmsales.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - top shop, although they seem to have ditched SYM now).
However I would still do it - quite tempted to get a Vespa 250GTSie that has been showered in love and money at some point - I think they can be better looked after perhaps.

Re: mmm Tamx?
Gonna stick with the 400 its a real nice scoot - biggest problem really is the Far off Price of a T Max - If it were more 7 than 9... Nearly twice the price of the 400?
Was more the Kudos of a T Max
The Handling aspect more than the Power (which is always nice!)
Forks thru twin yokes...
Better frame / Ally lattice chassis...
Static / mounted engine with swing arm, rather than a moving engine unit...
More the Unscoot aspects of the scoot...
I Dr Pulley-ed my 250... Gonna see about doing the 400... Not sure of the weights - can only presume same size and weight as the Maj...
I'l see if the Yamaha diagrams give any clues by same part numbers...
Thanks all for the comments... and view points

Cheers Michael...
Great price from Scooer Assasins £34...
I got the sliding pieces with the rollers for the 250 - they didn't fit / move well - so went with the originals...
I'll drop em a line and see what the cost is...
Thanks Again...
