By a coincidence, this afternoon it pulled out of a side road in Stockport in front of my wife who thinks she recognised the rider as a well known local yob (not 100% as the git was wearing my helmet) and followed by mates in a Citroen Saxo who were taking photos on a mobile. So I don't think it'll be long before they either crash it, dump it, burn it or sink it. She said it already looked damaged. The car's details and location have been passed to the police, but i don't think there's much hope of this ending well.

I'm now trying to come to terms with the idea of getting a different bike after being so pleased at finding such a good one only 5 months ago and planning to keep it a long time. Insurance payout minus excess is likely to mean I won't be shopping in the same price bracket again next time, so thanks to that little bastard a backwards step seems inevitable. I'd insert a smiley here, but I can't see one that conveys anywhere near the appropriate level of anger.

It is possible you might find very heavily discounted demo 400's coming up.
There is supposed to be a new 400 Burgman to be announced this autumn and available in the spring so the old model will ned to be cleared

11 months exactly and two cheaper scooters on from that horrible day, I've finally bought another Burgman ZA. Not the lovely white - a black one this time, but the same in all other respects and barely run in at 1100 miles. Picking it up on Friday. Then just airflow screen to sort and I'm back.

Sorry to hear your bad news, hope you manage to get it back. They should chop off there bloody hands, then they wouldn't do it many times. I live way down south but I've put the reg on my phone because you never know.
