Asparagus,
You say Burgman or Tmax but did you consider my suggestion to look at the SYM range ?
There are plenty of dealers in London and they are within your price range.
Are you in London or outside London ?
You have mentioned the TMAX and BURGMAN .... I have had a Burgman 250 and currently have a TMAX 500.
I love my TMAX 500 and enjoyed but didn't love my Burgman 250, although I really liked the Burgman 400 !!!!!
I think stepping up from your PCX to the TMAX would bring a smile to your face, you may find it a bit lardy for weaving through London traffic and filtering; don't get me wrong you will love the open road handling and the performance - I do !!!!
As to a Burgman 400, well it may be slightly better at filtering etc than the TMAX and almost as quick in town, it would be a little slower out of town BUT teh TMAX acceleration is intoxicating and in another league.
Which brings me back to the SYMs, the Joyride is slimmer and better suited to filtering and cheaper to buy and probably cheap to run.
Finally another contender is the Honda SH300i which is brilliant for solo use commuting in London - which I have done lots of.
It's your call though and do keep us posted.
