Re: Northern Riders visit the Belvoir Triangle Sunday 11th N
Thank all those came for a great day out, the weather helped although it was a bit chilly on the way down and on the way home.
I did a total of 337 miles, the DV behaved perfectly, and the roads were great.....the company was ok too
, sorry to split on the way back but time was clicking on so i went A1 all the way home, although i did do my good deed for the day when a family of 5 in their astra hit the kerb on the nearside lane of the A1(m) and spun accross into the central barrier coming to rest on the fast lane, I was 2 cars behind them in the 2nd lane when it happened so i got to test the ABS and I am glad to say it worked, I am also thankfull to the 2 guys in the van behind who managed to avoid me whilst in a 4 wheel skid accross the road
a 3 month old baby who thankfully was strapped well into her car seat was taken to hospital along with her mother for a check up but paramedics didnt seem to concerned, details and a statement taken and I finaly got home just after 6pm hopefully do that area again soon.

Hang On Chippie arent you forgetting my youthfull good looks? As Steve puts it - I'm like the Son he never wanted. According to him the Mid Wife threw away the best bit. Another typical display of gratitude and theres me letting Codgers come along for an outing.
Actually a very good run out. I can't wait to do it again in the Spring Summer. I had never been to the Vale of Belvoir before and even in the Autumn you can see its beauty.
Good to meet some new faces and see the old ones again. Rod, (Deeping), making an appearance.
Big credit to both Ady and Chippie for there effort to even get there, a decent ride just to get to Bawtry and Ollerton respectively.
As you can see Ady had some extra excitement on the A1 - My only complaint being that if he had got a move on we would not have been delayed by the traffic as we followed up the A1 a bit behind him. No consideration these Kids today.
Best turn out so far with 9 bikes on a sunny but not so warm day. Thanks to all who made the effort, especially Steve and Alan (Black Bess) who put the route together for us.

Oh and a special thank you to Steve. He reminded us to stop at ten to eleven for the Two Minutes Silence. In the middle of so much thats good in life its the least we can do to remember those that never had the opportunity to enjoy theirs.

I was at the roadside for around 40 mins at the accident we then went to the services for a coffee and rest my nerves so we must have just missed each other.
