Very good advice, someone I know has damaged the wrap, just a tear on the mirror, company has gone out of business, and other firms may not be able to colour match.

I would agree, but I might fancy a change in 12 months anyway :D

Working out the cost vs time, considering it took me nearly three weeks scooterless to paint my wheels gloss black due to lack of decent environment, I think wrap is the way to go and retain the original whilst its still in decent condition.

I have wrapped a few easy and hard things so I think I am ready to give it a go as I see it a a bit of an adventure, I've done paint now for something else! :D

It's got nothing to do with footie, can't stand the sport, or England. I wanted to go solid gloss white but day dreamed this up so I thought I'd go with something more personal :D

No way am I going to shell out near £800 when I can do it for much less :D

Plus if I screw it up then it will be a lesson learnt :D

Got a white sample through and compared to the wife's car its more of a cool blue/grey white, her iQ is a warmer white. Not sure if I like it... will try and get samples from else where.

EDIT: Doh! Just realised its the backing sheet that is colored a blue/grey :D

Any idea how much the amount of vinyl that you'll require will cost in total, Peter?

At a rough estimate it will cost about £60 for 4m x 1.5m of 100 micron vinyl (5-7 years lifespan, removable at up to 3 years) and then about £10 worth of sundries, already have all the carbon I need which cost me £20.

Much cheaper than a paint jobby.

EDIT: Oh and then I was going to get a tank protector to put on the belly pan at that section that gets shit chucked at it from the wheel and suffers a lot of wear :D
