Yes as we all seem to agree. Fantastic effort by Funkycowie, I only wished I could have stayed with you lot as I was having so much fun. But a planned visit to my sister in Flitwick had to take president.
I now have 1580 miles on the clock.....I'm beginning to think that if I keep attending these ride outs, I'll wear the thing out

Ive had a few things slip at an awkward moment many times in my life.... over the years hope your slippage is not too expensive.

Sadly if it was the clutch... lower left panels off, oil drain, coolant drain, left side engine cover off removal of water pump etc. clutch casing off, replacing the shoe bit is... well looking at the below I am not sure what I would need

but not even sure I would want to do the job myself... looks kinda scary.

And me ,cos I was there,worked till 2.05am,got up at 7.10am Was I looked naff.[Don't say it] left at 9.10am met up with Dave W. in the petrol place cos I missed the 1st left.Then over to the muppet people.Thanks to good muppet Man Funky for organising the ride,did 238 miles all in.Not quiet the most I have done in a day.But my back was getting bad.Great to meet old muppets and new ones.Filled up at the petrol place near Duxford ,no STEPHEN C. But there was a Lancastor flying over as well as some more wonderful planes.
The M11 Coming back was ok.Got to the Dartford bridge then wet/wet/wet so had to keep going. Left in to the A.2 Got home and a massive streak of lighting across the sky.10 Seconds later Thunder it must have been over head,Bloody noise.
That fill up worked out at 125 M.P.G. It has done more 127 m.p.g. Didn't need a beer to fall asleep watching the football.Having 1 later though Cheers all.

I know. But I only had a limited time left before I was due to see my niece's at a dance show, as well as it being my brother in law's birthday.

But anyway, you had the Lancaster overhead so you couldn't ask for more.

Sorry to have missed everyone. I only did 70 miles and that by myself, but otherwise I can't complain.

never done this myself, so im sure a new post would get someone`s attention looks like as below as depends if you gonna change just the friction plates, yet your separator plates might be also worn as never changed, looks like they are alternate and face a certain way, friction plates only seem around £55 and the complete as below about £126 best price £120 below for EBC your already most of the way there, so depends if you can or want to take our time and take photos, as can be daunting first time doing something new... as yours is like a motorbike the best vid i found on utube is " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The important part about rebuilding the clutch is to get back to the exact "stack height" of the original assembly and merely replacing the friction plates does not often achieve this accurately, especially when separator plates have been worn. The SRK kit overcomes this problem by completely resetting the vehicles clutch stack height.

I am going to see if it happens again as it could have been a bit of excess grease having worked its way out and caused the belt to slip...
