ray, no I don't think so. Just 120mph! It's got the 1.2 litre 3 cylinder Puretech petrol engine with turbocharger, and the EAT6 6spd automatic gearbox. The engine puts out 110ps and 205nm of torque at 1500rpm. It's pretty nippy and fuel efficient and very smooth auto box. I drove 80 miles in one with 5 of us in it and it went really well. Loved it! We went for the top of the range 'Flair' model which tells you when to stop and pee etc!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Harvey... Was thinking of leaving Wivenhoe around 2.30pm, if you want to ride up with us.

Think I'll be on the silverwing despite I'm embarrassed to say it needing some tlc (and new rear brake pads as scoring the disc)

as the X-ADV is SORN.

Are you heading up the Ipswich road onto A12 or A134 route

We'll join A12 at the A120 Colchester North (J29). Could meet you at the shell garage at Langham just after the junction.

Data wrote: Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:30 am Ok folks, got some news! I ordered a new car 3 weeks ago and my dealer phoned to say it's going to be ready next weekend. Didn't expect that so soon as we weren't able to get a definitive deliver date from the factory at time of ordering. Thought it would be Septembe before delivery. This means I won't be coming to the bimble. We need the car asap so I've got to collect the car and do the P/EX then spend Sunday getting the new one ready for use by Mrs Data Sunday afternoon. I also like to check the car properly and take it for a spin. We're on a tight schedule for that and very little time to do it. The following week the car is going to be doing lots of miles with Mrs Data at the controls so want to know it's ok. She is great at flying a Starship, but a new car... :

Oh...here's an internet shot of what the new one looks like...it's not my actual car.
Sorry you'll be missing this one out mate, but happy for you as you'll be getting a new toy! Hope we see you next time around, perhaps at the pie&mash?

On a somewhat related news, I'm trying to convince my friend who I accompanied just this friday to pick up a lovely white vfr1200 to come with us on the ride. Just don't freak out if you see him tailing me to the ride, he's one of us  In fact I coerced him to join up some time ago and he's known as Binje in this forum. Just add his name provisionally to the list pending confirmation.

Murat, yes I'll see you all hopefully on the pie & mash run next month.

Sorry about not coming Mottza, especially as the weather is looking not too bad either. I'll be stuck in the new car programing the central command computer with voice commands for Mrs Data and me and logging in our phones etc then talking Mrs Data through the 'learning the car' routine. It's quite different to our VAG cars we have always had.

Anyhoo...have fun everyone and take care. See you all another day!

Ian

It's Citroen then Data, is that French Star Fleet command or still with the old command base.
They all seem to be going 998cc three cylinder these days is there a reason why?
Happy new car Sir.
Lyn.
