Tiptree went there as a child on a family holiday fruit picking in the morning then to the seaside in the afternoon to spend your hard earned cash

Fishtown...

I do your route quite a lot. If you need a stop, rykas just off the m25 at j9 down the a24 towards dorking.
I think he's planning to run around northern M25 route, what is there along the A12, is the 8 Ball diner active?

Definitely doing the clockwise/northern circuit of the M25 so Starbucks is looking favorable at the moment :D Still not sure what time I'm meeting up with Pikey in Ipswich so any places of interest worth a visit between Starbucks and The Travelodge Ipswich would be a welcome distraction ;) And of course if anyone fancies a meet up there will be Pasties on offer all the way from sunny Brixham 8-)

Well I'm only 10 mins from the Starbucks, so call me (PM sent) if you end up stopping there & I can swing by and if you've enough time for a non-Motorway routing I can lead you around a more interesting way.

Understand if you'd prefer to crack on and get over towards Ipswich before taking timeout for distractions. Maybe an Essex Muppet can offer a meet-up further along your journey.

What's your current expected timings?

Raf musuem at Hendon is not too far off m25 and is quite good.

Tea huts in Epping forest. J26

Looks good meldrew. Where's this?

Be good to see a local, data.

Up to 15 attendees now! Better than the 3 for last year! But I think we had 17 a few years back. Be good to meet a few new faces.

I went for my own Pie and Mash Ride today, I chose a steak and kidney pie, mash, liquor (which I'd never tried before), and mushy peas with mint sauce. I have to say every mouthful was delicious, I enjoyed it so much I had seconds of minced beef pie, liquor, and mushy peas. Having more mash would have been just plain greedy! ;)
That looks so damn tempting!

Go on, pencil me in. I've just got to work out the best way - it's SWMBOs birthday on the 20th!
Don't know what your travel plans are Anonstarter but if you looking to travel up Saturday maybe give me a PM and try and a arrange a meet on route? ;)
