Going off on an irrelevant tangent, on the mk6 Tmax I find that I can see fine out of the right mirror, but the left is at least half elbow. I wonder why the effect isn't symmetrical? If only the stalks were longer, then the mirrors would be higher and clear of your elbows.

Yes I’ll probably go for that option as I’m not sure about the stability of the ones Waldorf suggested. They just look as though they could easily be dislodged.

I stuck extra mirrors above the stock ones; they make all the difference.
I honestly can't remember exactly which ones but these look very similar.
If you get them be careful not to line them up exactly with the edge of the stock mirror housing but have them a little further forward. Otherwise they will be too upright and you won't be able to get enough adjustment.
Not a good explanation, I fear, but fiddle with positioning them before you stick them on and you'll see what I mean.

Oops....tried these, but due to the complex and rather over-artistically shaped mirrors on the mk6 Tmax, they don't sit flat so give me a great view of any planes approaching from behind, but not of amy cars on the road behind. Should have stuck to the stick on overtaker mirrors.....
