About 800 miles on my Harley Davidson Road King from West London to Poland in one hit, just over the border from Germany, though it was interrupted by the Shuttle train service across the Channel. To make it more interesting it more or less rained the whole way across northern Germany. One of the most comfortable bikes I've ever owned for long distances.

I've never done huge mileages in a single day (apart from the RAC / ACU National Rallies which involved about 500 miles or so in 24 hours). My trip to Greece involved 250 - 300 miles every day for several days in succession. Avoiding motorways except for about 20 miles in Italy on the outward journey to avoid the Italian Riviera.

Splendid! Some fascinating responses on here. I find that these days, I'm pretty content with an 100 mile roundtrip, just enjoying the views and the ride, stopping-off wherever and whenever I feel, and inevitably taking scenic photos of whatever I'm riding. In winter, usually 50 miles (if at all) is more than sufficient for me.

I've actually no idea.

I spent 4 months of barely organised vagrancy on my '78 MZ150 in the mid 80s which was mostly about getting my head straight.

I sometimes rode for well over 24 hours at a time, stopping just for fuel and sustenance. As for recording mileage, it wasn't really on the agenda.

Up until a few years ago I used to do 600 mile + days from West Sussex up to my Dad's in Yorkshire in te morning. often to a mate's gig in the evening, then ride back overnight afterwards.

8-)

Not sure about the distance covered but I did the 1966 Dragon Rally from Ashford in Kent on my Matchless G80 combo with my good mate Mick. Never experienced such rain before or since. Had to abandon the sidecar in a field on the way home when the wheel collapsed. Still biking with Mick. Happy days.
