Pete, if you are getting a CT from Seven Seas you will fid the gearbox is identical to the Super Cub.

I had a new SuperCub for about a year until very recently. Sold it to another member of this forum. One of the main differences against the latest model mentioned above is the pillion seat and pegs. The previous one was solo only and I fitted the useful Honda chrome rack to it.

I think these are little more than fun/novelty bikes really. Sort of thing old farts (like me!) might buy for nostalgic reasons but for practical purposes they compare very poorly with a T&G scooter that you can buy for the same £3,000+. There's no luggage space, gear shifting is awkward and there's very limited weather protection. That's why they never sold here in any volume. In the year I owned mine, I don't think I ever saw another on the road.

Yeah, point taken abitmad. However, I think it depends on what you want to do with your bike. I had a new C50 back in the day and later the C90. Now the C90 was a fantastic forerunner to todays C125. I had panniers, screen etc and covered around 5k miles per year. With the panniers it was fantastically useful and the rack proved invaluable. It covered around 110mpg too. Had it for 3 years, amongst other bikes, and covered over 15k on it. It was as good as new when I sold it and I had huge amounts of practical fun on it. Used it to commute a lot too in all weathers. Funnily enough I did around 20k on my C50...dunno how that happened. But then it was my first road legal proper motorcycle and I was just 16yrs old. I think I was one of the last folks to be able to ride and get a full licence at 16. I'm now nearly 150 years old and it's hard remembering this stuff!

At 6'2" with 33" inseam I fitted pretty ok on the C90 believe it or not. Need to get a proper test ride on the C125 though.

At least that Honda has a proper back mudguard. Although if anything like the original C90 it will gently rot away from the inside......

Like cars, I don't think rust is really something to worry about now. The whole bike has electro statically applied electrophoretic primer. This prevents rust really well and of course, we have Waxoyl in various blends and other chemicals too! Lol...

I wouldn't go 100% on that sizing. Black Country Pete of the C90club forum is over 6'4" and has had his C125 for over 2 years now.

If you want one, you'll fit one.

Absolutely Capitano! At 6'2" myself with quite a long leg the C90 proved very comfortable for me. So the 125 should be at least as good and probably better.

The rear mudguard is over £700 to replace ,so a couple of C125s have been written off from rear-end shunts

Oh and it is a motorbike, not a scooter , been away last weekend with a couple of C125s a C90 with an Innova engine and a genuine C90 ,I was on the Xevo 586 miles covered at about 90 to the gallon.
