Your mate must be in one of those Micro climates was 7c here by the coast at 1400hrs....bit warmer now at 9.6c
Ok in the house at 22c.

I leave the Silverwing's handlebar muffs on all year round; it's not worth the effort of taking them off and trying to get them back on just right every year.
I wear single-skinned leather m/c gloves all year round, too, just adding silk inners for colder weather.
It works for me.

Sod it, why not live dangerously? I took the handlebar mitts off completely when I got home.

My thoughts exactly. Anyway, I've got over-gloves if it gets cold again!

O shit that’s the snow lying again in Balloch Loch Lomond - yellow warning proved to be correct

WARNING...................NEVER EAT YELLOW SNOW

Of course, since I declared that Spring had arrived, it hasn't stopped pissing it down with rain!

Quite mild here now with temps of 16-20c forecast for the weekend.

Met Office just issued a Rain & Snow warning for NE/ Yorks! Snow on high ground only...
