There is another HJC flip up, pricer than the IS, something like R-pha Max or some such funny name. Someone in a shop tried to interest me in one - it really was light - the instruction book seems to weigh more! Comes with drop down sunvisor etc.
Seemed a decent thing - apparently well liked by those who've bought one - more expensive than Cabergs, but not in Schuberth/Shoei league.
You could also check out the Shark Evoline.
But as others have said, making sure its a good fit for YOU is very important. I'd love to try a Shark or Shoei, but neither ever feel quite right on my head, whilst Arais seem to suit me perfectly.

I couldn't feel much difference between that and the IS-MAX

I moved to shark with my last helmet, very impressed and the fit was perfect for my odd shaped head

I've used cabergs for years and currently have the caberg konda. I'm also thinking of changing it and went to j&s today to have a look. Tried a few different models but again caberg was the best fit out of all (didn't even try £200+ helmets as I have no interest in paying that much). It was the duke model and although pricier than konda (still can buy konda online) it's lighter and still 5 stars from sharp ratings. However, surprisingly when i compared both in sharp site, it turned out that konda had better results in faceguard lock mechanism tests.

As others said, go and try in a shop, then you can always come back home and hunt for the best deal online (which is what i'm doing right now

Got a Duke too, it has Pinlock, flip up, sun visor and i can fit my gopro on so it ticks all the boxes at a good price. It caused a bit of pressure on my forehead so i sanded the polystyrene just a tad and now it fits perfect, probably not a good idea to do that tho! The pinlock has never fit properly which is a pain in the ass!

Yeah, same on my Lazer helmet. Very annoying - it shouldn't be that hard! This is obviously the real reason my Arais cost a fortune - they design the visor so the Pinlock fits perfectly!
