The michelin city grips do exactly that grip in wet slippy conditions .I think a good look over the bike just to give you piece of mind . Tyres are also a personal think what suits one will be the worst tyre in the world to another .

try using bridgestone tyres found them great, remember it's a scooter not made for fast cornering

Perhaps get someone with more riding experience to try your bike in the wet? This would give you piece of mind if they say there is no loss of grip, and justify your concern if something needs adjusting.

For heaven's sake don't try kneeing a Burg around a roundabout... Stupid arses overfill their tanks with diesel - then spill half of it on roundabouts - and it doesn't evaporate! It lays just waiting for any unwary motorcyclist - and down you go, tyres have little to do with it, give them a nice drop of diesel and watch them go.

I agree with others, nothing wrong with taking it easy in the wet on roundabouts with the amount of diesel that seems to accumulate on them.

Personally, coming from the Xevo (similar size to the burgman) to an Integra I've noticed a massive difference in the wet, I don't know if it's because of the difference in wheel size but it is so much better handling in crappy weather.

How many miles have you done on these new tyres? They may not be properly scrubbed in yet... just a thought

As has already been said, though, no tyre will win when confronted with diesel, so I take it easy through roundabouts in the wet as a matter of course. Sounds to me like you're not doing much wrong!

Yeah those fairings are damn expensive and it's surprising how much damage even a low speed slide will do.
