Yep mines at 1 o'clock too. Factory are getting it right but the heat still isn't as good as on my DL1000GT. Gloves would catch fire on that! On the 400 Burg they tend to only get smoldering hot after a good few miles, but for me that's ok.

Luckily I have the Givi Screen for winter plus my trusty Held Freezer Gloves. Failing that, I will put in a warranty Claim.

When I had my 650, I had the Givi screen and it was great..........until I did a European trip to the South of France! Couldn't get a puff of cooling wind on me and I was sweating like a paedo in Mothercare!

Glad your liking it, running in, I did some research on this before I bought my VFR and found out that the best, quickest way is to let the engine rev quickly to about 3-4K revs from the redline then let it slow down and repeat several times, use manual mode for this prob third and fourth gears, to allow the piston rings to bed in correctly. Bit late now,lol
Rider back rest, On the usa burgman forums, they use them a lot, convert car head rests, some fit straight in after you remove the standard back support, One of the guys on there started to make some to order.
Homemade burgman back rest
Back rest on Ebay

A cautionary note: Just be careful to follow the book method of running in. It doesn't mean you have to go slow. Don't motoman it or do any of the other fast run in techniques. Suzuki are very very specific about that as the belt cannot take the extra stress and heat this causes with a new belt. It also stresses the transmission bearings causing compressive wear damage. It's been more or less proven that fast run ins on this bike is likely to cause early belt failure, not to be confused with some other causes of belt failure on earlier models. Indeed I replaced one not too long ago at a Suzy dealership on a 2009 bike that had been motomaned. It had just 38k miles on it. There is a definite pattern developing on this for bikes that have been motomanned. Enjoy your bike, glad you like it.
