Suzuki dealer close to me has the 2014 Burgman 400 ABS for £5000.... I'm almost tempted.
Wouldn't touch a Kymco or a Sym 400, depreciation is horrendous and the underseat storage is crap.
So what if the Burgman is an old design, its a good one.
Old doesn't always mean bad and newer isn't always better.
The Jaguar E-type is an old design but if they started building them again people would be queing round the block to buy them.

No, it was a Flexi-Flyer that was WAY ahead of it's competition at the time, but would be horrendously expensive to build today and not even CLOSE to as reliable as almost every performance sports car out there (Italian Cars Excepted...)

I know, I restored and repaired dozens of them...even redesigned and fabricated Laycock Overdrive parts for 3.8litre sedans...

Skutorr there is a company here in the uk that actually makes a updated E type ,looks just like the original externally with up to date under pinning ,electrics etc to make it reliable ,its not cheap as you say .

Give me easy to use and plenty of room for shopping/luggage any day; things the scooter format is suited to, not dressing it up in an image it can't live up to.

No idea why they are going on about the M-type Skywave, its been around since about 2007

What I'm interested in is the new transmision they speak of. The 250 they feature in the article is equipped with the electronic CVT by the look of it. The 200 doesn't need that type of transmission and is a bit small to benefit but the 250 could use it, as could the new 400. I wonder if it's a sign of whats to come. That means wet clutch which may be interesting from several points of view! I suspect the new 400 will definitely pump out more power and will have the ecvt. Just gotta wait and see...

The M-type has been around quite a while, 2007 I think, I definately saw one in 2010 (never ridden one)

It has the Elec. CVT , keyless ignition and looks like the S type (naked bars and short "sport" screen) and 7 speed in "manual" mode. Not sure if it was domestic only or Far East only.
It used the same hand control as the 650 but I don't think the mechanism is the same.

I think the original Type S 400 concept at the Tokyo show had the ECVT too but not the production version

I'm happy with a normal CVT personally, I like simple
