I think the OP got it right straight away: its down to cost cutting.

I thought the grips looked cheap too, part of the cost cutting on the materials spec.

I must admit if I had a Forza I would be very happy with the standard screen. On a personal level I've always found it's the taller screens that create buffeting and noise around the head which I absolutely hate. I'm not bothered about covering handlebars either as it gives you more options for easy fitting of equipment.

Cost cutting is a good thing so long as quality doesn't suffer.
Feel free to come and have a look at my grips any time you like, they've done 7,500 miles and look brand new, no wear whatsoever.

Ive recently seen a pcx stripped down , it was two years old and the frame was shocking, rust everywhere, really nearly too far gone to repaint. Obviously used all year round and abused, I hope the forza isnt made in the same factory to same standards, because if it is , thats one honda I wouldnt be buying.
Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

WTF GN2 ?
I said I don't like the look of the grips/bars, that's it, done.

I didn't mention wear.
I wouldn't even see it as a criticism, high grip compounds tend to wear more quickly.
