dont show the part but they may be able to get the patern part cheaper than suzi dealer

Couldn't you just blank off the oxygen sensor if you damage it instead of bothering to replace the sensor? The bike should still run fine as the ECU will just run to a base map for fueling.

Well from what I understand (being on a number of bike forums and reading what others post) is that the ECU has a base map. The ECU monitors fueling via the oxygen sensor and adjusts fueling accordingly (mainly for emissions I believe). If you blank off the oxygen sensor port in the exhaust the ECU just runs to pre programmed base map. The bike should still run fine though, but will probably run a little richer and obviously use a tiny bit more fuel in the process.




However, I'm not an expert in these things and I'm sure others may come along and correct any points I may have got wrong.

You can buy a dummy O2 plug for most bikes on E-blag...they have a resister in them to fool the ECU into thinking it is still conected..if you need the O2 sensor pipe but can not get it, get the standard one and i will send you a Suzuki threaded sensor boss to weld into the pipe..

You could have saved a load of money last time with vibes but you wouldnt listen and sent it to Suzuki dealer

Took off the lower side panel yesterday preparing for the part to arrive. the pipe has literally snapped in two!
