New PCX vs Used S-Wing

I bought an S wing a couple of months ago... 2009 non ABS model, but with only 2600 miles on when i got it privately for less than 1500pounds...

Must have been the best purchase I ever made. I have since covered over 1000 miles with no trouble at all. I do 40 miles daily commuting, get 100+mpg. Did an oil changed yesterday in 15min.

I have also ridden
PCX but the s wing so much better for comfort, road presence etc...

I would go for the best S-Wing you can afford. I've had a PCX and it was a brilliant scooter for the money but the S-Wing is probably the best and most practical 125 you can have. Has better road presence, more power when needed, more storage etc.etc.

The S-wing may be better out of town due to its bulk but in heavy traffic the PCX excells.

The smaller SYMs have service intervals of 3000km, or every 1800 miles. They have relaxed that for the larger models IIRC. Piaggio has around 12,000mile intervals (ref. Telegraph review), but that depends where you look and some dealers say less.

Remember to add service costs and time out for them to the running costs, MPG was only half the cost of running my SYMs.

I have a 2011 s-wing bought from honda dealer with 15000mls for £1700 in october last year absolutely love the bike.......wife has a 2012 pcx which was 1800 with 3000mls is very nice but i find it a cramp ride position to the s-wing but my wife is is only small lol.

wished s-wing did bigger model which would push me to do my test

after owning both PCX and the S-WING, i'd go with S-WING for sure if you want to go out of town. as much more comfort, an weather protection..an more storage for a days bits an bob's.....

I was initially looking at getting a PCX but bought a used S Wing and glad I did, two years later and I still love it, really comfortable, good weather protection, good road presence, good storage under seat and in top box. I use it for work in all weathers except snow and bad ice. I plan on keeping mine for years!

PCX scooters have completed the cannonball run and have gone coast to coast across the USA.

That's hardly a recommendation. I took part in that very Cannonball and there was a LOT of scooter tat that made it coast to coast, including several 50cc scoots.
