I did once look at re routing the water pipes under the foot plates to create some heat but it'd be awful in the summer.

Mac have a think about one of those covers. That link I have posted is the cheapest source I could find and their customer service was excellent

Theres a Vespa I see in Wakefield with one of those covers on board but I've never had the chance to talk to the rider about it. Don't they flap around at anything like a speed? And what's it like getting your feet down in traffic? I could see that combined with some warm air being blown under it, it would be very snug indeed.

What a meet that one was Pikey. A real adventure.

The fit is very well the Tucano have a patented system of air inflated weights in the side so no flapping. The instructions tell you to put the scoot on a stand and practice putting your feet down and this is important . With mine you need to remember if you are riding feet forward to bring your legs back before putting your feet down. Once you get used to it, it's no problem. Has I say I have become a convert, I no longer need thermal trousers and it's the best winter riding ever, car seldom gets used.

the gilera runner had the heat flappy bit on them

was never much good at more then ten miles an hour though
